Terms and Conditions for Participating in the Eco Tour

Please read the following carefully.


■ If you refuse or fail to prepare the hiking equipment recommended by our shop, the guide may decide to cancel the eco-tour on the day of the event for risk management reasons.

■ During the tour, you are required to follow the guide’s instructions (for safety reasons).

■ The guide will not be held responsible if you fall or injure yourself during the eco-tour due to circumstances beyond the guide’s control.

■ The coverage of the insurance you take out is limited. We are not responsible for any damages beyond that coverage. Please be aware of this. Additionally, the following will not be covered: ※ Illnesses other than injuries (e.g., colds), muscle pain, pre-existing conditions (e.g., back pain) ※ Accidents caused by dangerous behavior before or after the tour. This insurance provides minimum coverage during the tour, so if you feel the coverage is insufficient, we recommend that you arrange additional insurance.

■ Participation after consuming alcohol is strictly prohibited.

■ The tour course may be changed or canceled at the guide’s discretion depending on the weather, road conditions, and the physical condition of the participants on the day (no cancellation fee will be charged in the event of cancellation due to weather, etc.).

■ If you have any health conditions, pre-existing conditions, or injuries that require special attention, please be sure to fill in the Eco Tour Participation Agreement form or the input field on the reservation form in advance. In the case of concealment or false information, you will be charged double the Eco Tour fee.

■ Cancellation fees ■ Cancellation fees due to customer circumstances after application and changes to the date are as follows: (including sudden injuries or fever) 30 to 15 days before the tour: 30% of the tour fee

2 weeks before the tour (14 to 2 days before): 50% of the tour fee The day before or on the day of the tour: 100% of the tour fee

After cancellation, we will send you an invoice via email.
“Please follow the instructions and make the payment as per the invoice amount.”

  • If the guide determines that your clothing or physical condition is unsuitable, you may be asked to refrain from participating on the day.
  • Failure to arrive at the meeting place and time on the day will also be considered a customer-initiated tour cancellation. (This includes, for example, missing transportation and being unable to come to Yakushima)

※ Cases where cancellation fees do not apply ※

■ If you are unable to come to Yakushima due to transportation cancellations caused by bad weather (e.g., typhoons), which are beyond your control. ■ If the eco-tour is canceled on the day due to severe weather warnings (as determined by the guide).
